King Of Olympus Betfair
Posted By admin On 30/03/22Age of the Gods King of Olympus is a Playtech-powered game with a progressive jackpot element. Part of the Age of the Gods series, it has 5 reels and 25 paylines and can be played from 25p to £2,500 a spin. The game is based on Zeus, the ancient Greek God who is charge of sky and thunder – it was supposed to be called Age of the Gods Zeus but Playtech might have encountered some trademark issues from WMS.
Graphically brilliant, the reels include Zeus himself (who is the wild), Pegasus and Aetos Dios (the eagle), as well as harps, vases and standard A, K, Q and J symbols. The highest paying symbol is Zeus, which substitutes for all symbols except the scatter, and rewards you with 3,000 times your line bet if you get 5 on an active payline.
Age of the Gods King of Olympus also uses the Turbo Mode which can be found in the newer Playtech slots which allows you to spin the reels extremely quickly.

- In many ways, King of Olympus is the simplest of the three Age of the Gods slots, with fewer headline features. For the basegame, Zeus himself serves as the Wild and the highest paying symbol, landing 3000x your linebet should he appear five times on a payline.

The main attraction is the Free Games feature which is triggered by getting 3 or more Temple of Zeus symbols anywhere on the reels. You will then be rewarded with 10 free spins with an increasing multiplier. The feature begins with a 2x multiplier and increases by 1 after every 2 free spins.
This means free spins 3 and 4 will be subject to a 3x multiplier, free spins 5 and 6 will be subject to a 4x multiplier, free spins 7 and 8 will be subject to a 5x multiplier and free spins 9 and 10 will be subject to a 6x multiplier.
Additionally, the Zeus wild symbol becomes a frozen/locked wild in the middle position of the 3rd reel for the duration of the feature. The only downside to the feature is that you cannot retrigger more free spins.
Finally, there are 4 progressive jackpots to be won – the Ultimate Power, the Super Power, the Extra Power and Power jackpots. All 4 jackpots are won randomly where you are taken to the Jackpot game – you will come across a 4x5 grid of 20 squares which hide different jackpot symbols – if you match 3, you will win that particular jackpot.
I found Age of the Gods King of Olympus to be a medium variance slot game which is identical in gameplay to the retired Iron Man 2 game. Graphically a step up from Iron Man 2, it does remind me a little of Zeus III by WMS (aesthetically). I would also recommend the other slots in the series with Age of the Gods Furious 4 my favourite.
The Age of the Gods series of slot games hailing from Playtech has proven to be a huge hit with players. We’ve lost count of how many games there are in this series (still not enough though, in our opinion!), but we are putting two of them together in a head-to-head here. Who will win – the Prince Of Olympus or the King of Olympus ?
